Where ever you click on the Putty CM you will get the error as :
object reference not set to an instance of an object
and in the log file no useful info,
Was very annoyed bu these errors, tried recopying, deleting the current version so on...
Finally ---
Fix:
Under the options --> select the "show tray icon " --> Select "Hide when minimized"

thanks for the solution. i had disabled it cuz I didnt want to minimize it as a tray icon. but I guess, it doesnt work without it.
Can we have a 'proper' GUI frontend for a gloriously ported linux tool ?
Thanks a lot, but I have seen that If I checked this option, when Putty Manager get hidden at task bar, then I can not open and keep working, thats why I unchecked that option, and I didnt see other way to fix it.

yes. just enable the option hide on minimise and once it goes to notification area, custamize the notification area as show the icon and notification for puttycm.
